Daddy holds a very sick baby and lets her sleep.
Relaxing and trying to make Kori feel better
We went down to my parents on Sunday to do Laundry and have mom look at Korinthia to make sure she was ok. My parents took turns with her, getting their fill of being thrown up on. And by Monday she was starting to feel better. She got us all up around what I think was 4am. My mom came down and changed her, she has the worst diaper rash ever right now (although it is looking a lot better now) and I made her a bottle. Dad came down as well, so he offered to sit and rock her while mom and I went back to bed. I don't know if he stayed up or if they fell asleep together, but I was so grateful to have the chance to go back to bed. I didn't realize HOW grateful until today though. With all my parents help I came home feeling rested, which is good because Lillie started being sick on Monday, and has been pretty bad since. I was up countless times last night, with both girls.... and am having a hard time keeping up with them right now. And to top it off Malaki is starting to complain that his tummy "feels so yuck" which means I will probably have a third sickie on my hand soon.
Currently Korinthia is passed out in her bed, Lillie on the couch, and Malaki is watching peter pan. My first bit of quiet all day. Now I have the task of scrubbing the house to make it smell a little less like puke, when what I would really like is a nap... but who could sleep with this smell!
Oh and to top it all off, even though I just did laundry, I already have a ton more to do. Blankies with throw up, beds with diarrhea... I hope they feel better soon!
You would think with Summer and warm weather would come less sickness! I hope it all passes soon!
ReplyDeleteI was really confused to where Jereme was sitting for a second. I forgot about the apartment!
ReplyDeletePoor kiddos! Hopefully they are feeling better now.
