His recruiter told him he just needed his ID, so I dropped him off then headed down to Oregon Vital records to pick up the girls' birth certificates... inside an office where Cell phones are not allowed. Jereme got this mean lady who would not let him get set up in the system without his SS card, even though he was told he didn't need. His recruiter even offered to fax a copy of it since he had to copy it when Jereme first went in, and then he said he would sign saying it is a true copy of Jereme's real SS card, but she wouldn't allow it and said if he didn't have it before 9 he would have to take the test later. So he tried to call me, but my phone was off since I was in the Vital Records office.
The REALLY frustrating part though, when I did get back (9:45ish) he went to get put in the system so next time he went he would be all ready, and the guy that put him in (the lady was elsewhere) never once asked for his SS card OR ID! He would have been able to take the test if he had went to him in the first place! We were more than a little annoyed! So he will take the test the first Wednesday in March now, hopefully!
Huge bummer. That would be so frustrating. :(
ReplyDeleteSorry it was such an ordeal. God's timing is best though. Maybe just not yet. We shall see what the Lord has in mind pretty soon. *smile* I am excyted for you in this adventure though. Take care and remember to pray always. Blessings.-me-(Mommy of two little blessings)
