Bases are Loaded

So here is a list of the places the Army could take us... In the order of appeal to me

HAWAII, HI

CAMP ROBERTS, CALI

FT. BUCKNER, JAPAN
LANDSTUHL, GERMANY
COLORADO SPRINGS, CO

FT. MEADE, MARYLAND

Japan and Germany can be switched, I don't have a preference of the two.  I am feeling like I would like to see different though.  It is hard because I don't want to be far from my family, but at the same time, how likely is it that they will come see much more if I am in Maryland, as opposed to Japan.  My family likes travel, so I hope they will get to come see me wherever I go... and I think it would be fun to have them come stay for a week or two and do some sightseeing.  It will just be cheaper sightseeing because they won't need food or lodging, I will be able to provide that.

I know that this is hard on my family, and on my friends, but I hope you can all be excited for us.  I am nervous and scared of course, but I am also excited.  I feel like God has been preparing me for this and like this is his will.  Sure I have listed a preference of bases, but I am ok with going anywhere at this point.  I feel like it will bring me closer to God and us closer as a family.  Jereme and I have spent hours talking about the things that will be hard, the way this will affect us as a family, but all in all it has already drawn us closer to each other, and to the kids.

I hope that we will have the opportunity to have as many family and friends visit as want to.  Our doors will always be open, and even though I don't know how big of a place we will be yet, we will always have room for family and friends.  As long as they don't mind being in close quarters with a family of 5 should that be the case.

For you who have kids, I will even babysit while you go do some sightseeing if you want.  Whatever you need to get you to come see us, whether we be in Hawaii, Germany, or Maryland.... or any of the other places they could send us.

Also the list is not technically an official list... so it is possible we could end up somewhere totally different.  This is just the only places that the SFC we have talked to knows of.   His friend did the same job for years and that is what he told him.
