DON'T OPEN THE DOOR!

I come home from work and the kids are no where to be seen.
"They are in their bedroom, I told them to clean and they haven't done it so they are still in their room" Jereme says as he passes me on his way out the door to go to work.
Korinthia starts crying so I go in and get her, change her diaper, fix her a bottle... apparently the kids think my being home means they are done.
"Oh hi mom!" Malaki says  "wanna play, wanna go outside, wanna have a peanutbutter?" Pretty much anything but clean is what he is thinking.
I smile at him, "sure, after you clean your room like Daddy says, then we can have some fun!"
"ok" he replies enthusiastically, as he picks up a toy to put away and gets distracted.  "I'ma super!"
"Your a super hero?" I ask, trying to understand what it is he is talking about.
"No, I'm super Malaki!  And I'm super, and your super too mom, your a super and I'm a super, super Malaki and mom super."
"Ok super Malaki use your superpowers to clean your room" I replied.
At this point Lillie has gone in to go potty about 4 times in the 10 minutes I have been home.  I am pretty sure she needs to poop but is a little constipated judging by the way she is crying.  I go sit with her for a little while, which just encourages her wailing and crying.
"If your going to carry on like this I am not going to sit here and listen" I tell her as I leave the bathroom.  This causes her to really start throwing a fit.  "if you are going to throw a fit you need to either go poop or go to your room"
Wailing she runs into her room and slams the door.  Normally she would get in trouble for this, but when the windows are open the doors close pretty fast, and so I don't know if she meant to slam it or if the wind got it.
Malaki starts talking to me again and so he goes to open the door so I can here him.  "DON'T OPEN THE DOOR!!!!!" Lillie screams at him as she rushes over and shoves it shut.
At this point I had no choice but to punish her for her attitude.  Now they are both laying in bed pouting that they don't want to clean.  Oh well, it looks like they will take a nap, and since I worked this morning, I could use one as well!

  2. A foretaste of things to come? Maybe she's just getting it out of her system early and she'll be a peachy-keen teen!
